Greatbear analogue and digital media ltd. is a specialised and niche business that has evolved from a love of tape based audio and video recordings and a desire to restore, preserve and use this technology which is disappearing quickly in the digital revolution and information age that we work and live in.

There are a range of other businesses offering transfer and digitising services in the UK from small home based individuals to large industrial scale document transfer facilities. These tend to focus on a particular market and either don't have the flexibility or the specialised equipment to cater for all types of transfers and customers needs.
what we offer
We are experts in the restoration, accurate audio tape transfer and digital migration of analogue and digital audio tape. We have carefully invested in a range of some of the best and most appropriate machines for the transfer of older magnetic audio tape. All our transfers are made to high resolution audio files, unless otherwise discussed, using high quality Benchmark Media Systems external analogue to digital (AD) converters.
We digitise, transfer, restore and preserve old and new audio and video tape recordings such as audio cassettes, reel to reel tape, multitrack tape recordings and a wide range of rare domestic and broadcast video tape formats. We can process very small individual domestic orders right up to industrial scale transfer projects for archives and institutions.
